Tymon’s journey began with a struggle—a struggle that persists every day. Arriving at just 35 weeks, Tymon faced challenges that were unimaginable. From his first moments, it was evident that his path would be fraught with significant difficulties. His narrative is one of survival, strength, and hope.
On September 11, 2023, Tymon was born amidst chaos. He required immediate resuscitation, and doctors soon identified a critical heart defect. Our hearts sank when we learned that Tymon would need emergency surgery on his fourth day. The procedure was highly intricate: his aortic arch needed widening, and a pulmonary artery band was to be placed. Those six hours felt eternal as we anxiously awaited updates on our baby’s survival.

Incredibly, the surgery was a success. However, Tymon’s fight was far from over. For two days, his chest remained open, and a ventilator assisted his breathing as his fragile body fought to heal. Yet, Tymon faced more health challenges. He was born without a left kidney, and his right kidney was severely compromised. Consequently, he requires regular dialysis and will eventually need a kidney transplant to survive.
In addition to his kidney issues, Tymon was diagnosed with microcephaly, a condition characterized by an abnormally small head for his age. His right earlobe is underdeveloped, and he also suffers from a central nervous system defect known as cerebellar lobe hypoplasia and cerebellar vermis. These conditions impact his motor skills and balance, making even the simplest tasks incredibly difficult. There are additional challenges, each compounding the complexity of his health journey.
One of the most heartbreaking challenges Tymon faces is his difficulty with feeding. Due to facial paralysis, he cannot drink from a bottle like most infants. To ensure he receives adequate nutrition, a PEG tube was surgically placed in his stomach. This tube allows us to feed him directly, serving as a constant reminder of his fragile condition and the daily fight he endures to survive.

Tymon’s daily existence revolves around medical appointments, rehabilitation, and hospital visits. Each day presents new obstacles, but also small triumphs. We cherish every improvement, every smile, and every fleeting moment of joy. However, the emotional and financial burden on our family has been overwhelming. The expenses for his treatments, surgeries, dialysis, and ongoing care far exceed what we can manage alone.
This is why we are reaching out for your assistance once more. Tymon is a fighter, but he cannot face this battle by himself. We need your support to continue providing him with the essential medical care he requires. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to a healthier future for Tymon.
