Many will remember the face of a cheerful, 7-year-old boy, full of life and enthusiasm. Chris Garza Jr. was a joyful child, eager to run, play, and embrace the simple joys of life. With a fresh haircut and a sparkle in his eye, he represented the innocence and happiness of childhood. However, everything changed in a heartbeat.
A few weeks ago, Chris experienced his first seizure—a terrifying 20-minute episode that left his family feeling powerless. It was a moment no parent anticipates. Following this distressing event, doctors revealed an even more alarming diagnosis: Chris was suffering from Autoimmune Encephalitis, a rare and aggressive condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the brain. This diagnosis brought a wave of fears and uncertainties regarding his health, future, and whether he would ever regain the vibrant spirit he once had.

The reality of Chris’s condition has been profoundly heartbreaking. His brain is swollen, and this swelling continues to jeopardize his ability to function. He cannot eat or drink independently, relying on a feeding tube for survival. Most of the time, he is sedated, his body resting while doctors work to manage the swelling and prevent additional seizures. His parents, Breayana and Chris Sr., have remained by his side, living day by day in the hospital, hoping and praying for their little boy to awaken, to speak, to smile, and to return to them.
For any parent, witnessing their child in a hospital bed, vulnerable and fighting for life, is the ultimate fear. It is a pain that words cannot adequately express. Breayana and Chris Sr. now exist in a constant state of uncertainty, unsure of what the future holds but determined not to give up on their son. They have paused their work, dedicating themselves entirely to being present for Chris during this challenging battle.
Despite this unimaginable hardship, the Garza family remains united in their love and commitment to one another. Each moment is a struggle, yet they cling to the hope that their little boy will return to them, that he will open his eyes again and restore the joy that has been taken from him. They are not merely fighting for Chris’s life; they are fighting for the small moments—the smiles, the words, the laughter—that they hope will return once he is well again.

During this challenging time, the Garza family needs our support. They require our prayers, strength, and love as they navigate this difficult journey. They need the reassurance that they are not alone. Every prayer offered for Chris, for healing, for peace, and for strength will serve as a guiding light in the darkness they are facing.
Please join us in praying for young Chris Garza Jr. and his family. Pray for healing for his body, for peace and comfort for his parents as they witness their son fight for his life, and for strength throughout this battle. Let’s uplift them, demonstrating that they are surrounded by a community of love and support.
In this time of uncertainty, let’s unite in faith, trusting that Chris will return to his family, that he will open his eyes and smile once again. For now, all we can do is pray—and believe that with enough love, hope, and prayer, miracles can occur.
🙏 Please keep Chris in your prayers, and let’s stand strong for this courageous little boy and his family.
