When doctors told Władek’s mother that her son had only a 15% chance of survival, the world around her collapsed. “My vision went black,” she recalls. “I couldn’t breathe. How could I accept that my child — my ten-year-old boy — might die?”
What began as what seemed like an ordinary infection soon turned into every parent’s worst nightmare.
From a Fever to a Diagnosis That Shattered Everything

It started with mild chest pain and a fever. Doctors thought it was just an infection and prescribed antibiotics. But the symptoms didn’t go away — they worsened. A week later, Władek began complaining of severe abdominal pain.
“I just knew something wasn’t right,” his mother says. “A mother’s instinct is never wrong.”
She rushed him to the hospital, where an ultrasound revealed an enlarged liver and spleen. Within hours, they were sent to the oncology ward. “That word — oncology — froze my blood,” she remembers.
Then came the CT scan. The results confirmed their worst fears — a tumor.
“We couldn’t believe it. Not my son. Not this healthy, happy boy who loved to run and play.”
The Cruel Truth: Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma

A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis: Rhabdomyosarcoma — a malignant soft tissue cancer, stage IV. The most aggressive, the most dangerous.
“The doctor’s voice was shaking,” she recalls. “He said we needed to start treatment immediately. We didn’t have time to process, to grieve, to even cry. We just had to fight.”
Władek began intensive chemotherapy right away. He faced the first cycle bravely, but when the latest MRI scans came back, the news was devastating — the tumor had grown and metastasized to other organs.
“It felt like the ground disappeared beneath us,” his mother says. “We thought we were fighting the monster, but it was spreading faster than we could stop it.”
A Race Against Time
In Poland, doctors did everything they could — but the treatment options were limited. That’s when the family found a hospital in Barcelona that specializes in advanced pediatric oncology. There, doctors gave them something precious — hope.
“They told us they could help,” his father explains. “But the cost was enormous. Far beyond what any normal family could afford.”
The family began selling what they could, reaching out to anyone willing to listen. But the numbers were overwhelming. Flights, specialized treatments, hospital stays, and medication added up to hundreds of thousands of euros.
“It’s a cruel reality,” his mother says through tears. “To know that your child’s life depends on money — and that you don’t have enough of it.”
A Little Boy with the Heart of a Fighter

Despite everything he’s endured — the pain, the fear, the endless hospital days — Władek hasn’t given up. Nurses say he still greets them with a smile. He jokes with doctors. He dreams about going home, about playing football with his friends again.
“He’s so strong,” his mother says. “He tells me not to cry. He says, ‘Mum, we’ll beat it.’ I hold his hand and nod, even when my heart breaks.”
But this battle can’t be fought by love alone. Władek’s parents know time is running out — and that without treatment abroad, their son’s story might end far too soon.
A Mother’s Plea
“I never imagined I would have to beg for help,” his mother confesses. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But when it’s your child’s life on the line, pride disappears. All that matters is saving him.”
The family is asking for help — donations, shares, prayers — anything that could bring them closer to funding Władek’s life-saving treatment.
Every contribution means more days, more chances, more hope.

Hope Lives Here
At just ten years old, Władek has already shown more courage than most people do in a lifetime. He faces every injection, every hospital stay, every night of pain with quiet determination.
“He tells me, ‘Mum, when I get better, we’ll go to the sea,’” she says. “I promised him we would. But to keep that promise, I need help. We need help.”
This isn’t just a fight against cancer — it’s a fight for childhood, for future birthdays, for laughter and life.
💛 Please, help us save Władek. Every donation, every word of support, every act of kindness brings him one step closer to surviving.
“He’s only ten,” his mother whispers. “He deserves a chance to grow up.”
