For years, his parents envisioned him — their cherished, long-awaited son. When Miłosz Skorek finally came into their lives, he brought joy, warmth, and a love that made everything else fade away. In their family of six, he was the light — curious, gentle, and full of life.
No one could have predicted how swiftly that light would dim.
Initially, it was minor concerns — Miłosz wasn’t sitting up like other infants his age. Doctors reassured them, saying some children simply develop at their own pace. Yet, deep down, his parents felt that something was amiss.
They began consulting specialists. Rehabilitation was recommended, but progress was minimal. Then, one ordinary day, everything changed.

Miłosz developed a fever. The doctors dismissed it as something trivial — “probably teething,” they suggested. But that night, everything spiraled out of control. Their baby boy began to convulse. His small body trembled in his mother’s arms, and panic filled the room. An ambulance rushed them to the hospital, and June 19, 2024, became a date forever etched in their memories.
An ultrasound revealed a tumor in his head.
The world came to a halt.
Within hours, Miłosz was transferred to a hospital in Poznań, where doctors confirmed the worst news any parent could receive — their child’s life was at risk. On June 27, he underwent his first life-saving brain surgery. The procedure was lengthy, delicate, and terrifying. Yet, he somehow pulled through.
That was just the beginning.
Since that day, Miłosz has been battling an adversary no child should ever have to confront. He is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy, a harsh treatment that targets both the tumor and his fragile body. The side effects are severe — weakness, nausea, infections, and exhaustion. His parents spend countless nights by his hospital bedside, holding his hand and whispering comforting words he’s too weary to respond to.

“He’s so small,” his mother says softly, “but he’s stronger than anyone I’ve ever known.”
The battle is far from over. Miłosz still faces many months of toxic chemotherapy ahead — months that will test every ounce of his strength and his parents’ faith. Once treatment concludes, a long and painful rehabilitation will commence — to help him move, speak, and regain the strength the illness has taken from him.
And yet, amidst all the fear, there is hope.
His parents see it in his eyes — a quiet determination, a will to live that shines even through the pain. Every small smile, every moment of tranquility, feels like a miracle. But miracles come at a price — one his family can no longer shoulder alone.
Between rehabilitation sessions, medications, travel to hospitals, and endless expenses, their savings have been depleted. Each new infection, each setback, brings new bills — and new fears. They do everything they can, but the mountain is too steep to climb without assistance.

“We never thought we’d have to ask for help,” his father says. “But this is our child’s life. We’ll do whatever it takes to save him.”
They believe — fiercely, desperately — that Miłosz can win this fight, but they cannot do it alone.
Every donation, every act of kindness, aids them in covering treatment, travel, and the intensive rehabilitation that will one day help him stand and play again.
Miłosz’s story is one of love, faith, and extraordinary courage. It’s the tale of a little boy who continues to fight, and of parents who refuse to give up — no matter how daunting the path ahead may seem.
💛 Please, help Miłosz continue his battle.
Assist him in completing his treatment. Help him grow, laugh, and live the life he deserves.
Because behind every statistic, there’s a child — one with tiny hands, big dreams, and a heart that still believes in tomorrow.
