19th-Century Books Go Viral for Their Bizarre Parallels to the Trump Family

Two novels written more than 200 years ago are taking social media by storm — all because of their uncanny similarities to the lives of former U.S. President Donald Trump and his family.

Forgotten 1800s Novels Resurface in the Trump Era

Since Donald Trump’s return to the White House spotlight, two obscure 19th-century books by American author and lawyer Ingersoll Lockwood have suddenly captured the internet’s imagination.

The first, Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey (1888), tells the story of a young aristocrat named Baron Trump who lives in a lavish estate called Castle Trump — a coincidence too wild to ignore for those who know Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, who resides in Trump Tower in real life.

Lockwood describes his Baron as “curious, arrogant, and destined for greatness.” Guided by a mentor named Don, the boy embarks on a fantastical adventure through mysterious portals — including one located in Russia. Adding to the intrigue, the fictional Baron’s family is of German descent, just like the real Trump family.

“The Last President” and the Chaos of a Shock Election

Lockwood’s second book, The Last President (1896), has fueled even more speculation online. The story opens with a shocking, chaotic election in which a populist outsider unexpectedly wins the presidency — throwing New York City into turmoil.

In the novel, rioters storm Fifth Avenue, home to Trump Tower in real life. The fictional president’s administration includes a man named Pence, mirroring Trump’s real-life vice president, Mike Pence. The novel ends with the collapse of the American republic — a chilling parallel that has spooked many modern readers.

TikTok Theories and Time Travel Conspiracies

A viral TikTok video breaking down the eerie connections between Lockwood’s novels and the Trump family has racked up more than 5.9 million views.
Some commenters joked that “this can’t be a coincidence,” while others went further, claiming, “Time travel is real.”

Adding fuel to the speculation, internet sleuths have drawn connections to John G. Trump, Donald Trump’s late uncle — a physicist who once analyzed the papers of inventor Nikola Tesla, whose research included theories about energy and time travel.
Conspiracy theorists claim Trump’s family may have inherited Tesla’s “secrets of time.”

From Fiction to Fascination

Barron Trump, now 18, has drawn attention ever since his father’s first presidential campaign in 2016. Currently a student at NYU’s Stern School of Business, he has reportedly played a behind-the-scenes role in his father’s comeback campaign — with Trump himself praising Barron’s savvy in engaging younger voters through podcasts and online platforms.

Whether pure coincidence or something stranger, Lockwood’s century-old books have reignited public fascination with the Trump dynasty — proving that sometimes, truth really can be stranger than fiction.

“Two books written before electricity lit up the world are now lighting up the internet — all because of a mysterious boy named Baron Trump.”
