A 7-Year-Old’s Battle for Survival — Support Adiba in Her Fight Against Cancer

With great hope and steadfast belief in the generosity of others, we reach out to you — as our daughter’s life is at stake. Adiba is just seven years old, and for over three challenging years, she has been battling one of the most aggressive and devastating childhood cancers: retroperitoneal neuroblastoma.

She should be running, laughing, and playing with her friends. Instead, her days are spent in hospital rooms, connected to IVs and surrounded by medical equipment. Yet, through every challenge, Adiba has displayed remarkable bravery — her spirit refuses to surrender.

💔 The Start of a Struggle

It all started in August 2021, when Adiba suddenly became weak and pale. Routine blood tests raised alarms, leading to further investigations. A CT scan revealed a large tumor on her left adrenal gland. The diagnosis — cancer — shattered our world.

Adiba began chemotherapy right away, enduring four intense rounds before traveling to Turkey, where surgeons performed a risky operation to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful, and afterward, she underwent five additional courses of chemotherapy, holding onto the hope that it would finally be over.

For a brief period, it seemed like it might be. Adiba even returned to preschool. But a few months later, the nightmare returned — stronger than ever. The cancer had spread to her bones and bone marrow.

🌍 Seeking Hope

We couldn’t give up. We searched everywhere — in Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Moscow, and beyond — desperate for any opportunity to save her. In 2023, doctors in Russia began treating the recurrence with chemotherapy, and shortly after, Adiba qualified for specialized treatment in the United States.

However, delays in receiving essential medications worsened her condition. Still, Adiba persevered. In September 2023, the first positive signs emerged — her scans indicated that the treatment was effective, and preparations began for a bone marrow transplant.

Then, at the beginning of 2024, another heartbreaking setback: delays in medication delivery once again interrupted her therapy, allowing the neuroblastoma cells to regrow.

✨ A New Opportunity — Istanbul

Now, there is renewed hope. After consulting leading specialists, we have identified a treatment center in Istanbul willing to take on Adiba’s case. The plan offers her a genuine chance for recovery:

  • Two rounds of chemotherapy to stabilize the disease
  • Modern isotope therapy to slow tumor growth and strengthen her body
  • Two rounds of immunotherapy to eliminate cancer cells
  • And finally, a bone marrow transplant — likely from a family donor

However, the cost of this life-saving treatment is staggering. Each dose of the critical medication costs $8,000, and 10 doses are required for two full courses — $80,000 in total. Adding the costs of therapy, hospital care, and the bone marrow transplant — another $80,000–$100,000 — brings the total to nearly $180,000.

For most families, that amount is unmanageable. For us, it’s the only barrier between our daughter and her life.
