Barron Trump crypto warning issued amid spate of scams

World Liberty Financial, the crypto project endorsed by the Trump family, has warned crypto traders about a fake coin seen online bearing the name of Barron Trump, the youngest member of the Trump family, the head of whom Eric Trump promised would revolutionize the crypto world, in what is the latest crypto blow to the family after President Trump’s meme coin was recently described as ‘worthless.’

One of World Liberty Financial’s founders, Zach Witkoff, had his X account hacked, and it was used as a platform to promote the Barron meme coin – other members of the family have legitimate coins, including Melania’s, whose coin plummeted in value recently -but a post from World Liberty Financial’s X clarified that the coin was fake.

The official post read: “Please do not engage. We are resolving the issue ASAP.” This is the latest example of a scam based on memecoin. Last month, Time Magazine’s X account was hacked, and the hacker shared a fraudulent post about the magazine’s intention to start their own meme coin.

The seriousness of this possibility is highlighted by the rise of unofficial merchandise. MAGA supporters have started a long-term effort, largely fueled by the teenager’s impact on the recent US election.

Barron’s actions at the recent inauguration appear to have fueled speculation that he could be a strong political figure, if not for his presence alone—he even made a point of standing at the presidential podium at one point.

Trump supporters are determined to build a lasting Trump dynasty. As the only child of Melania and Donald Trump, Barron checks all the boxes for a possible presidential run.

To become president of the United States, a candidate must be at least 35 years old, born in the country, and have lived in the US for 14 years—although reports suggest President Trump is exploring potential changes to these requirements.

The 18-year-old, who cast his vote for the first time in last year’s election, has sparked significant interest throughout his father’s campaign.

Barron played a key role in connecting with younger voters, helping to position his father as a strong option for Americans of all ages. While maintaining a relatively low profile compared to his father and two older brothers, Barron has captivated Trump supporters.

He is credited with contributing to his father’s campaign success by recommending that he appear on podcasts.

Barron played a key role in encouraging the former president to take part in podcast interviews with prominent figures such as video game streamer Adin Ross and Joe Rogan. He is also behind the Bro Vote movement, which seeks to engage young male supporters of Trump aged 18 to 29.

A CIRCLE analysis of an AP VoteCast survey found that 56 percent of young men voted for the businessman, showing a 15 percent increase from the 2020 election. Whether Barron has political aspirations or plans to follow his father’s path, one thing is clear—he’s certainly in a strong position.
